Sad News

Sony and Kevin’s June church wedding is canceled. It’s not postponed. It’s really canceled. Kev has been in intensive care for more than a week. He has Guillain-Barre syndrome, a rare disease that has paralyzed his body. He developed Pneumonia in the hospital, but yesterday, his respirator was removed, and Sony was allowed to see him. As of Tuesday, hospital bills were over P1.2 million. He has only been in Medical City since April 14.

My schedule has been a bit crazy and I’ve have had to take a couple of days off work to be with Sony who’s four months pregnant. She flies back to California on Monday.

These things make me see how fortunate I am. Yes, I have a lot of problems but there are people around me who are going through really serious stuff.

I hope that Kev gets through this so that he can see his little one. He’s already been through enough.
